Why is the idea of delight so relevant right now?

Symbolically, May is home to the Flower lunar cycle, but more literally it’s also a month of glorious blossom, as well as being peak season in the garden for things like lilac and peonies. It’s a time of vibrant beauty and heady scents, and the delicate nature of these flowers and their papery petals offers an important reminder of the fleeting, impermanent, nature of joyful experiences and the need to slow down and savour them when they arise.
