Why is the idea of truth so relevant right now?

In the previous episode of the podcast we explored the word ‘story’, which brought up the idea of truth in the context of questioning the facts or reality of the narratives we hold in relation to ourselves and the world. Following on from this, we thought it would be interesting to consider the concept of truth itself in a bit more depth.

In seasonal terms, winter is also very much a season of truth-seeking as we’re encouraged to turn inwards and get clear on what we want and need as the cycle of the year begins again. This process can sometimes involve confronting difficult realisations, meaning it’s a time when it’s important to remain ‘true’ to ourselves even when that feels hard to do.
