Why is the idea of ceremony so relevant right now?

Rituals and rhythms are particularly important during seasonal transitions, especially if you’re moving into a phase you find harder than others.

Autumn feels like a season that contains quite a few traditions or beloved aspects that have an almost ceremonial quality to them: playing conkers, leaf-spotting, drinking spiced tea/coffee or hot chocolate, getting woolly jumpers and boots out of storage… Similarly, events like Samhain (Halloween) and bonfire night also include aspects of ritual, such as apple bobbing and toffee apples, trick or treating, fireworks, sparklers, and so on.
